For this project, we developed a comprehensive SaaS web application designed to simplify invoicing, quoting, and fiscalization for businesses of all sizes. The primary goal was to create a robust, user-friendly platform that helps entrepreneurs and small business owners streamline their financial processes, ensuring compliance with local fiscal regulations.

Typography

For the typography, we selected IBM Plex Sans, the official corporate typeface for IBM. This choice was strategic, as it immediately lends the application a sense of professionalism, reliability, and technological authority—qualities that are crucial for a tool handling sensitive financial data.

The font’s clean, geometric design ensures exceptional legibility and clarity, making it easy for users to read and interpret financial data like invoice numbers, totals, and dates. Its broad range of weights allowed us to establish a strong and consistent typographic hierarchy, guiding the user’s eye and creating an intuitive interface. Ultimately, IBM Plex Sans reinforces the app’s identity as a modern, secure, and trustworthy solution for financial management.

Color palette

The Fakturo web app uses a calm and professional color palette that balances trust, clarity, and usability. A deep blue-green sets the tone with reliability and focus, while a fresh green adds an approachable and positive touch. Soft light tones keep the interface clean and minimal, and a neutral gray provides contrast for text and supporting elements. Together, these colors create a modern and trustworthy atmosphere that enhances readability and user experience.

The bold typography communicates strength and trust, while the contrasting colors create a fresh and modern impression. Together, the symbol and wordmark present a strong visual identity that feels both approachable and dependable.

To enhance user comfort and adapt to any workspace, we built the app with both a light and dark mode. The light mode is designed for a professional, high-contrast experience, while the dark mode provides a sleek alternative that reduces eye strain, making it perfect for long working hours.

Automated Fiscalization

A key differentiator of our application is its fully integrated and automated fiscalization process. We have streamlined this legal requirement, which involves the real-time validation of sales receipts with the tax administration (Porezna uprava). When a user issues an invoice, the system automatically sends all required data to the tax authority’s server, instantly receiving back a unique identifier (JIR). This unique code is then securely stamped on the final invoice, guaranteeing full legal compliance with every transaction. This automation eliminates manual work, minimizes the risk of error, and provides users with complete peace of mind.

Automated mail-sending

The application streamlines the entire billing workflow by including an automated mail-sending feature. After creating an invoice or a quote, users can seamlessly send the document directly to their clients’ email addresses with a single click. The system automatically attaches a professional PDF copy, eliminating the need for manual downloads or external email clients. This functionality saves time, reduces effort, and ensures a professional and efficient delivery of all business documents.

Multilingual Support

The application was built to serve a diverse user base by supporting multiple languages. The entire user interface is available in both Croatian and English, allowing users to work in the language they are most comfortable with. This multilingual functionality extends seamlessly to the PDF generation, enabling users to create and send invoices and quotes in either language, which is essential for conducting professional business both locally and internationally.

All-in-One Functionality

The application was designed as a central hub for all core business operations. Instead of relying on multiple, fragmented tools, our platform unifies every essential function into a single, intuitive dashboard. Users can manage the entire billing lifecycle from one place: creating and fiscalizing invoices, generating professional quotes, and organising their entire client database. All organizational data is securely stored, and documents can be seamlessly exported and printed as PDF files, providing a complete, streamlined solution that simplifies a business’s day-to-day operations.

The platform includes a robust PDF generation function that simplifies the creation of professional documents. With a single click, the application automatically converts all invoice and quote data into a clean, print-ready PDF file. This feature ensures that every document sent to a client is of high quality, consistent in its branding, and ready for immediate use, allowing our users to present a polished and professional image without any manual formatting.
